What to Expect
Your pet will be scheduled for a time to drop off at the clinic for grooming, and an estimated time that he will be ready. This will vary depending on the type of haircoat and grooming your pet needs, as well as the number of grooming appointments scheduled.
If possible, it is best to “potty break” your pet before coming into the clinic, as some pets are shy about using new facilities.
If your pet has a medical or skin condition that requires special handling, please be sure to notify the staff so that we may accommodate your pet’s special needs. We provide high quality grooming shampoos and products, or we can use your speical medicated shampoo which you bring with you.
To ensure the best experience for your pet, please notify staff if your pet is fearful or has shown aggression during certain handling such as nail trimming or clipping.
Our menu provides a 'Pet Profile form. This is a very convientent way to tell us about your pet's special needs.
All pets scheduled for bathing or grooming will also have their nails trimmed, ears cleaned and anal sacs expressed. This is included in the grooming fees at no extra charge.
All breed clips will be done according to standard grooming practices for that breed. If you have a preference for a specific type of clip, our groomer will be happy to adjust accordingly. For some pets with mats, shorter clipping may be required to fully detangle the haircoat.
The groomer will provide a checklist of what was found during the grooming, and any areas that might need special attention.
